At Center Desk Consulting, our mission has always been to center equity and inclusion in the systems that shape people’s everyday work experiences.

We believe DEI is both a strategic priority and a human responsibility.
That’s why I’m honoured to share that we’ve been featured as one of Digital Reference’s Best Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Consulting Services in Canada.
The article highlights leaders and firms across Canada who are driving real, measurable change within workplaces. It’s a privilege to be recognized alongside others doing this work with integrity and care.
From Talent Consultant to DEI Strategist
Before founding Center Desk Consulting, I worked as a Talent and Organization Consultant at a global management consulting firm. I had the opportunity to lead employee resource groups and deliver complex projects focused on DEI strategy, HR transformation, employee experience, and change management.
Over time, it became clear to me that DEI was often treated as “extra” work. Important, yes, but not resourced, prioritized, or integrated.
That experience led me to start Center Desk Consulting. I wanted to build a practice that challenges the idea that DEI sits on the side of someone’s desk. Our name reflects the belief that equity should be at the center of how organizations operate, grow, and lead.
What We Do: Centering Humans in Workplace Systems
Today, we work with clients who are ready to move from intention to implementation. Our services are grounded in lived experience, organizational insight, and a commitment to anti-oppressive, sustainable change. We focus on three key areas:
- Employee Resource Group Enablement
We support teams through playbook development, launch planning, and capacity-building workshops. - Equitable HR and Employee Experience Design
We lead DEI audits, policy reviews, mentorship program design, and inclusive survey development. - Facilitation and Public Speaking
We offer culturally competent workshops, employee focus groups, DEI training, and strategic planning sessions.
Across all areas, our approach is relational, reflective, and responsive to the realities of those most impacted by workplace inequity.
Why This Recognition Matters
Being featured by Digital Reference is not just about visibility. It’s an affirmation of the people-first, systems-informed approach that guides everything we do.
Their platform is doing important work to demystify HR and consulting, offering practical insights for organizations and consultants alike. Their article on what consultants actually do breaks down the ways this work can support both operational and cultural transformation.
As a solopreneur and business owner, I also saw myself in their piece, The Rise of the B2B Solopreneur. Starting Center Desk was not just a career move. It was a commitment to building something different: a consultancy that puts equity into every deliverable and centers care in every client relationship.

We’re always learning, and we share that learning on our blog. There, we explore the nuances of inclusion, organizational change, and the intersection of identity and leadership.
Thank you to Digital Reference for recognizing the work we’re doing, and for amplifying the role of DEI consulting in creating more equitable Canadian workplaces.
